Top 5 Fastest Cars In The World

SSC Ultimate Aero

American-built mid-engine sports car SSC Ultimate Aero is tagged as world's fastest car. A product of Shelby Super Cars, Aero is packed with high – performance and a fastest recorded speed of 413 km/h (257 mph). The SSC Ultimate Aero TT, is currently the fastest production car in the world. The speed machine took a long period of seven years for its designing and it costs about 620,000 dollars. Hope to see this car in Indian Automobile Market as well.

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a mid-engine sports car produced by Bugatti Automobiles, a subsidary of Volkswagen Group. Bugatti Veyron holds recognition as the fastest accelerating and decelerating production car in the world. It is also the most expensive production car available at a price of 1.1 million Euro. Powered by a 736-kilowatt W16 engine, Bugatti Veyron achieves an average top speed of 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph) which is second only to SSC Ultimate Aero, world's fastest car.

Koenigsegg CCX

The mid-engined roadster Koenigsegg CCX is a masterpiece from the garage of Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The CCX has been engineered in an evolutionary design challenging the supremacy of leaders in its class. CCX is an abbreviation for Competition Coupe X, the X commemorating the 10th anniversary of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996. An upgraded version of Koenigsegg CCX known as the CCXR is available producing 25% more power than the CCX.

Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

The Saleen S7 is a limited production, hand built high-performance automobile developed jointly by Saleen, Hidden Creek Industries, Phil Frank Design, and Ray Mallock Ltd. It is the first car produced by Saleen not based on an existing design. The S7 featured a naturally aspirated V8 engine with 550 horsepower. In 2005, the S7 was replaced by the S7 Twin Turbo, which featured a more powerful twin-turbo system that boosted engine power to 750 horsepower (760 PS/559 kW) and the top speed to an estimated 250 mph (402 km/h). We wish that the auto giants like Volkswagen, General Motors, Chevrolet etc. will introduce something like Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo on Indian roads very soon.

McLaren F1

The McLaren F1 is engineered and produced by McLaren Automotive, a subsidiary of the British McLaren Group that, among others, owns the McLaren Mercedes Formula One team. McLaren F1 is the fastest naturally aspirated car in the world. A standard version of the McLaren achieved a top speed of 371 km/h (231 mph) which is eclipsed by the Koenigsegg CCR. Hope that we will get some F1 supercar series from European car manufacturers including Ford, Mitsubishi, Skoda etc. very soon.
