GM Sells Off Hummer

General Motors (GM) Heads Towards Restructuring

In its effort to segregate the 'Good GM' v/s 'Bad GM', the General Motors announced selling of its famous 'Hummer' brand to a Chinese automaker. General Motors has entered into an agreement with Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. of China for an undisclosed amount and sold off its reputed brand, Hummer. The selling of Hummer to a manufacturing company who has no experience in the automotive business has surprised many auto pundits.

General Motors Corporation is now headed towards restructuring and evolving into a leaner and smaller auto manufacturing company post the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing and would further downsize its famous brands. The next one likely to be sold off is another popular GM brand called 'Saturn'.

We hope that there is a change in fortune for GM, a 101 year old Automobile manufacturing company and it succeeds in all its venture post its restructuring.
